Your Old Books. A guide to old books written by Peter Van Wingen. This guide covers some frequently asked questions about rare books and book values. The site is maintained by the Rare Books and Manuscript Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries.
Bookfinder.com is the first place to go to when you are looking for an out-of-print title or wish to get a sense of what a particular book is worth. When you first go there, click on the Show More Options link, then click the Classic Search Display checkbox. The search results are much easier to use. A tip: if you are not finding what you need, try searching the individual book lists. Sometimes Bookfinder does not pull up everything.
For Southern bibliophiles, the membership list of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America Southeast Chapter is available online. The main ABAA page is also very useful.
