Segment 1

Title:  The Criser Years: A video yearbook.

Date:  1989

Duration:  00:06:38

An unidentified narrator reports the accomplishments and programs of Marshall Criser during the years he was president of the University of Florida (1984-1988).  His first interview is shown (December 15, 1983), a scene from his inauguration, the NCAA controversy, the programs he instituted (Capital Campaign) or re-instituted (Parents’ Day), and his improvement of both undergraduate and graduate programs.  In a humorous moment, Criser appears in a football uniform and states, “I’m ready to go if Emmett isn’t”.  The final scene shows Marshall Criser walking across campus.
