The Architecture Archives supports the educational mission of the University of Florida. Students gain valuable experience and knowledge by researching and using these rare and unique materials. Historical drawings and related records enhance the educational experience by bringing the past to the present for students. Faculty members in the College of Design, Construction and Planning have incorporated the Archives into their courses. Archivists make presentations to classes to introduce students to the diverse holdings and services provided by the Archives. Additionally, numerous graduate and undergraduate students regularly work in the Archives to process collections. Archives personnel also regularly make presentations to professional organizations and other groups, and can offer workshops on the preservation and use of architectural and design records.
If you are interested in arranging a class visit or incorporating Archives holdings in class assignments, please contact: John Nemmers, Archivist in the Department of Special and Area Studies Collections.
